Garam masala, Hindi for "hot spices", is a blend from India that is used all around South Asia. It features many warm spices and though it's used in savory cooking, it can be considered a cousin to pumpkin spice. Add garam masala towards the end of cooking to retain the aromas of the spices rather than cooking it out.
